Celebrating the Launch of SE Asia’s First Centre for Music and Health at the Yong Siew Toh Conservatory of Music

We held an event in collaboration with NUS Giving to celebrate the launch of the new Centre for Music and Health!
'Tuning into Wellness: Celebrating the Launch of SE Asia’s First Centre for Music and Health at the Yong Siew Toh Conservatory of Music, NUS.'

It was wonderful to hear my colleague Dr. Hui Ling Khoo speak about all of her wonderful work with YST student groups, mentoring them to go out for impactful community music performances and interactive music-making sessions. It was also so lovely to hear from Jasmine Ng, a final year music student at YST who has been very active in leading music engagement programmes in the community. She says, “Witnessing the joy and enthusiasm of the elderly participants during the sessions was a really fulfilling experience for me, both as a musician and as a music student. It is heartening to know that such simple actions can have a very positive impact on people’s lives. I look forward to CMH expanding its outreach in the future and benefitting an even wider range of audiences through these meaningful projects and experiences.”
